If you missed the screening at the Jam Jar, and then at club night Freshly Laced post that, here’s a brilliant music video by local artist Noush Like Sploush. It’s for her single “3 Act Circus,” and is a fantastic demonstration of the possibilities of stop motion animation. And a brilliant advertisement for the power of collaborative creation.

The technique involves shooting, moving the object or changing the scene in some way, and shooting again. Rinse. Repeat. Rinse again. Ad infinitum. Ad nauseam. Rather akin to how cartoons are drawn, frame by frame, to give the illusion of movement. Way to go Noushy, I’m surprised your hyperactive self didn’t implode during what must have been a painstaking process. I love the jerky look, the retro psychedelic feel and the brazenly rapacious tattoos that don’t seem to take no for an answer.
